Zion

Zion is Utah's oldest national park. It has incredible canyons, amazing views and fantastic hikes. The Narrows is the most popular hike. With a permit you can hike from the top to bottom for 16 miles. Most people hike from the bottom to as far as they feel comfortable. You will get wet, as you will be hiking across the river and up stream several times. About 60% is knee deep but some pools are waist deep. The first few days I was there it was raining, so The Narrows was closed due to flash flooding. Very few people get to actually see the water falls like I did when I was there. You can also drive through The Tunnel. Once through the tunnel, look for desert big horn sheep. There are several pull outs along the road for the trailheads into the back country. Remember, carry out what you carried in.
